Camas heads into budget season; ‘severe cuts’ possible

Camas city staff will host two public open houses to help community members better understand the City’s biennial budget process as well as revenue constraints that could negatively impact City programs in 2025-26.

Mortar fireworks ban in Camas now includes possession

Two weeks after voting 4-3 in favor of a mortar fireworks ban, Camas officials have added the word “possession” to the ordinance, effectively banning Camas residents from possessing aerial fireworks with reloadable shell kits that are more commonly referred to as “mortars.”

Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave. The meeting also will be livestreamed, with video available on the district’s website.
