OnPoint Community Credit Union will open its first Camas branch Sept. 3 at 19530 NW Brady Road, expanding its presence to nine branches in Clark County.

The Portland-based credit union will hold a grand opening celebration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 3. The event will include an opportunity for community members to meet branch staff and tour the new location.

The branch will offer account services, new memberships, personal and commercial loans, home and equity lending, financial planning, ATM services and notarization. OnPoint also provides financial counseling and debt-management assistance through its partnership with GreenPath Financial Wellness.

Chris Tapia will serve as branch manager. Tapia joined OnPoint in 2021 and previously was assistant branch manager at the credit union’s 205 Place branch.

As part of the opening, OnPoint will donate $5,000 to the Camas-Washougal Community Chest. Andrew Gustely, president of the community chest, said the donation will help support local nonprofits.

“The nonprofits we support are facing a greater need than ever, and donations like OnPoint’s will help us get funding to the critical programs they offer,” Gustely said. “We’re incredibly grateful for OnPoint’s gift and look forward to having another branch nearby.”
The credit union also plans to donate $50 to either Little Wings Library or the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society for each new member who opens an account between Sept. 3 and Dec. 3, with the new member choosing the recipient.

OnPoint Community Credit Union is headquartered in Portland and has more than 656,000 members in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
