A Skamania County man is suing a Florida-based healthcare fraud-detection company for withholding wages and wrongful termination.

Dan Leslie filed a lawsuit against Advize Health on July 7 in Clark County Superior Court. He is seeking economic and other damages in amounts to be proven at trial.

Advize Health did not respond to a request for comment.

Leslie worked remotely for Advize Health as its director of business development from March 2022 to November 2025. He was primarily responsible for developing and securing commercial, federal, state and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services-related contracts, according to the lawsuit.

The contracts resulted in revenue streams valued at more than $46 million, court records state. A written contract with Advize Health stated Leslie would be compensated with an annual salary of $100,000 and a commission of 5 percent of the top-line revenue he brought in.

Leslie materialized contracts with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Aetna, United Healthcare and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, among other entities, according to court records. Leslie claims Advize Health did not pay him the required commissions on these contracts.

In September, Leslie provided a senior manager at Advize Health with a margin analysis for one of his contacts and put a line item for the commissions he was owed. Leslie did this again in November, after he was asked to perform a different analysis on a separate contract, court records state.

Leslie estimated he was owed over $1.7 million in commission on one contract alone, and he asked for the commission to be processed and paid to him during the next pay period, according to court records.

Five days later, Leslie was terminated during a virtual meeting and was told it was due to the withdrawal of a subcontractor for a major contract. A day later, he was informed he was terminated because his position was no longer required, court records state.
